Landfill Alternative Site Evaluation

 Chatham County, North Carolina, is seeking the services of a qualified solid waste engineering firm to work with County staff and the community to prepare an Alternative Site Evaluation for locating a new Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfill in the County.  The project consists of performing an Alternative Site Evaluation for locating the new landfill in Chatham County in accordance with North Carolina General Statute (NCGS) 153A-136(c).

 The Chatham County Waste Management Department is requesting statements of qualifications from firms capable of providing solid waste management consulting, engineering, and environmental consulting services in accordance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management rules, permit requirements, and client needs.  Five (5) copies of the team’s qualifications must be provided and they should be hand carried or delivered by traceable means by March 25, 2010 5:00 PM EST to the following address:
