| • CCCC in Pittsboro is offering a workshop titled "Sustainable Forestry Land Development" on October 22, 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., in conjunction with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension in Chatham County. Topics forestry alternatives, sustainably harvested wood certification, grading and selling lumber from local and portable mills, factors that impact sustainability, and income producing options in the wildland/urban interface.
