• Christmas Open House hosted by the Potters of Seagrove, December 3, 4, and 5. Fri. and Sat., 9 to 5; Sunday 1 to 5. Visit the potters in their individual locations. Then, enjoy the experience of Old Fashioned Candlelight Christmas Caroling at the Historic Whynot Memorial Church, Fork Creek Mill Road, Seagrove, Sunday, December 5, 2004 at 7 pm. No heat in the church, so dress accordingly.

• Friday, December 10, be a part of the Lighting of Luminaries in Fearrington Village Center. The paths of the Center will be lined with luminaries from 7 – 8 pm and the Village will be decked out with traditional English Holidy decorations with Teddy Bears, Nutcrackers and Tin Soldiers. There will be carol singing on the Green with music from the Village Voices.

• Weekend Wine Tasting at Fearrington Grocery Co., every Saturday from 1 to 3 pm. Get information on assorted wines! For more information, call 919-545-5717.

• Every Wednesday at 10:30 am, McIntyre’s Fine Books and Bookends announces Pre-School Storytime. For more information, call Sarah at 919-542-3030.

• The Chatham County Soil and Water Conservation District will meet Thursday, December 9 at 7:30 pm in the Conference room downstairs in the Agricultural Building in Pittsboro. This is an open meeting. For additional information, call 919-542-8240.

• Christmas in Chatham Parade of Homes Tour, Sunday, December 12, 2004, 1 pm to 6 pm. Five homes will be featured: Walters Homeplace, Bear Creek; Matthews-Wren Homeplace, Siler City; Rhodes Homeplace, Siler City; Old Graham Road Bed & Breakfast, Pittsboro, and the Beal Homeplace, Bear Creek. • Chatham Arts Studio tour preview exhibit of paintings, photography, textiles, pottery, jewelry, wood works and more by more than 57 Chatham County artist selected for the annual Chatham Studio Tour. Preview exhibit through December 12, at Chatham Arts Gallery, 115 Hillsboro Street in downtown Pittsboro. Gallery hours, Thurs., Fri., Sat., 11 am to 5 pm; Sunday, December 5, noon to 5 pm.
