• Chatham-Lee Credit Union will be having its annual meeting on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2 p.m.. The meeting will take place on the Pittsboro Campus of CCCC (764 West Street). Call 919-542-2106 for more information. In case of inclement weather, the meeting will be rescheduled for January 17 th, same time, same place. |

• The Southeast Chatham Citizen’s Advisory Council (SCCAC) will meet January 20 at 7 p.m. at the Liberty Chapel Church in Moncure. We welcome and encourage participation of all residents, businesses and organizations within our community. |

• Scrap-a-Thon hosted by Robyn’s Nest Creative Learning Center to benefit the American Cancer Society on January 10 from 9 a.m. to Midnight at Hanks Chapel Church. Cost is $30 per person. • Chatham County Public Health Department and Community Diabetes Advocates are holding a diabetes support group on January 12 at 6:30 pm at the Family Resource Center, 225 Chatham Square, Siler City. • Siler City Business and Professional Women’s Club will meet Thursday, January 8, 2004 at 12 noon at Best Foods Cafeteria. All members and interested women are encouraged to attend. |

• Storyteller Louise Kessell will lead a program for pre-schoolers on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pittsboro Memorial Library. |

• Chad Virgil, the local Edward Jones representative, will host a course titled "Tax-advantaged Retirement Solutions" on Wednesday, January 14 at 2 pm at 630 East Street, Pittsboro (Food Lion Plaza) This program broadcast via Edward Jones’ satellite system, will be produced by the firm’s Professional Education Network exclusively for area CPAs and Attorneys.
