• The American Red Cross Blood Drive at North Chatham School will be held on Monday, February 7, 2 – 6:
• Third Annual “Night in Italy” dinner, Sunday, February 6 from 5-7:30 at the Council on Aging in Pittsboro. Gourmet Italian meal served by candlelight while listening to piano music by Liz Tedesco. Silent auction from 5-6:30. All proceeds go to support the programming of Chatham County Together!. • OSHA Compliance Workshop at Randolph Community College, Archdale Campus on Thursday, Jan 27, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm for employees, supervisors, managers, and others who need to understand and apply basic safety procedures and OSHA regulations as they relate to workplace safety. • New Hope Audubon Society monthly meeting at 7 pm on Thursday, February 3 at the Totten Center, NC Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill. Speaker: Steve Hall, PhD., NC Heritage Program, “An Endangered Butterfly and its Ecosystem”. Call 919-962-0522 for directions.
• The African American Dance Ensemble will perform at Randolph Community College on February 3 at 12 pm in RCC’s LRC Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public. • On Saturday, 01-29-05, David Terrenoire will read from his book, Beneath a Panamanian Moon at McIntyre’s Fine Books and Book Ends at 11 am.  On Sunday, January 30 at 2:00 pm, Stephen March will read from his new book, Love to the Spirits. Free and open to the public.
• Instant piano for busy people at CCCC, Sanford on February 7 from 6-9:30 pm. A beginning class in chord piano, where in one session, students will learn all the chords needed to play any pop song, any style, any key, reading chord symbols, not notes. They will also learn to embellish songs using the secrets and magical shortcuts of professional piano players. • Every Monday at 6:30 pm for the entire month of February, Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at Alston Chapel Church.

• Work by the three potters, Josh DeWeese of Helena, Montana, Pete Pinnell of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Jim Robinson of Phoenix, Oregon, all nationally and internationally known potters will be the main demonstrators at the North Carolina Potters Conference in the Main Gallery of the Moring Arts Center, 123 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, February 1-28.
