• Every Monday at 6:30 for the month of March, Narcotics Anonymous meetings will be held at Alston Chapel Church. |
|
• The Chatham County Council on Aging will feature works of Florence Johnson. The watercolor exhibit will run March 1 through March 31. Gallery hours are from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The public is invited to view the exhibits during these times. |

• The Goldston Book Club will meet Monday, March 7 at the Goldston Library from 11 am to noon. The book selection to be discussed will be Uncommon Clay, a mystery written by Margaret Manon. |

• Chatham County Republican Party will hold its annual Precinct Meetings and County Convention on Tuesday, March 8 at the District Courtroom in Pittsboro. Convention registration begins at 6:30 pm, Precinct meetings begin at 7 and the County Convention convenes at 7:30. Convention delegates are asked to contribute $5 to the Chatham County GOP to offset mailing costs. For more information, contact Mark Teague at 742-1314. |

• The Council on Aging and the Friends of the Pittsboro Memorial Library present “An Evening in Kabul”, Saturday, February 26 at 6:30 pm, a fundraising dinner and auction to benefit the Community Read of the book The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. The evening will feature outstanding middle-eastern cuisine, special Afghan guests providing entertainment and education, and an auction of donated items from far and near.
