• The Laurels of Chatham will have Family Night on February 16, 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. in the 400 Hall Day Room. The guest speaker will be Dr. Gary Winzelberg. who will be holding a discussion group about communication between families and physicians. |

• Randolph County’s Alz-heimer’s Support Group Network, a support group for the Carolina Piedmont Alzheimer’s Association, will be meeting Tuesday, February 24 at 7 p.m. in the John Tote Room/Cross Roads Retirement Center, 1302 Old Cox Road, Asheboro. • The Chatham Charter School Board will conduct its monthly business meeting on Friday, February 20th at 8 a.m.. This meeting will be held at the school and is open to the public. |

• Fearrington House will host the Triangle Wine Experience Dinner and Wine Tasting featuring Wasserman’s Selections of Champagne and Burgundy on Thursday, February 19th at 7 p.m. The event will benefit the Frankie Lemmon School and Develop-mental Center, a non-profit public school for children 3-6 with developmental disabilities. • The organizing committee for V-Day Pittsboro 2004 announces a production of “The Vagina Monologues” as part of the V-Day Worldwide Campaign, Sunday, February 29, 8 p.m. at The Barn at Fearrington Village. | • Fearrington Village will host a Folk Art Festival on February 22nd and 23rd from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of folk art will be available and several artists will be there to answer questions. | • RSVP Community Theatre and the George Washington Carver Community Enrichment Center will present a staged reading of The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial. on Friday, Febru-ary 20 at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 per person with proceeds going to renew the Sunset Theatre, which can be cool this time of year, so dress warmly. |

| • The Fifth Annual Art in the Garden Show at Fearrington is currently accepting entries for their 2004 event. The Art Show will feature exterior art for the garden. Submissions should be in the form of slides or photographs and will be accepted until March 1st.
